Liver Decompensation Clinic
The aim of our liver decompensation clinic is to improve access for patients with the urgent need of outpatient hepatology care with the linkage of care to the Lahey Liver Clinic.
Who Should Be Referred To The Liver Decompensation Clinic
- Patients with decompensated cirrhosis, regardless of alcohol use
- Patients with severely abnormal liver enzymes
- Patients with decompensated liver disease including:
- Severe autoimmune hepatitis
- Severe hepatitis B
- Drug induced liver injury
- Alcohol induced liver disease
- Acute severe hepatitis
