Financial Assistance & Counseling

Financial Assistance Programs & Policies

At Lahey Clinic, we understand that sometimes paying your medical bills can be a challenge. Regardless of your situation, we are here to support you; we offer a wide variety of financial assistance programs, including financial counseling, to help you pay your bills so you can focus on getting well again.

Uninsured, Underinsured or Unsure: Navigating Coverage

If you have limited insurance or no insurance coverage, you may qualify for government assistance through the MassHealth, Commonwealth Care or Health Safety Net (Free Care) programs. We also help patients navigate and communicate with insurance providers before or after their care to help you understand and get the most out of your coverage.

Financial Counseling

Our financial counselors have deep understanding of the financial assistance landscape and can help you identify and apply for public programs you may be eligible for. Patients with cancer can learn about cancer-specific financial assistance programs here.
