How to Apply for the Anesthesiology Residency
The Anesthesiology Residency Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program and only accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
The following documents are required:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Personal statement
- USMLE transcripts
- Medical School transcript
- ECFMG certificate (for International Medical Graduates)
- Dean’s Letter
- At least three letters of recommendation from physician faculty who have worked personally with the candidate and can comment on clinical knowledge, work ethic and personality
- A recent (within six months) color photo
Invitations for interviews are based on first attempt USMLE scores, recommendation letters and the medical school transcript. It is expected that applicants have no unexplained absence in medical education or training. There is no minimum USMLE score requirement to apply.
International medical graduates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or eligible for a J-1 visa. Lahey Hospital & Medical Center does not sponsor H1-B visas.
