Bariatric (Weight Loss) Surgery

Once it is determined that you are a potential candidate for surgical weight loss, you and your surgeon will discuss surgical options. All types of weight-loss surgery are performed at Lahey:

Breast Surgery
General surgeons provide breast surgery for both benign and cancer-related conditions. Care is coordinated with breast health, plastic and reconstructive surgery and breast cancer specialists through our breast cancer program.
All breast cancer treatment sites throughout the health system are certified by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), an organization that ensures the highest standards of care for individuals with breast cancer and diseases of the breast.
Pancreatic, Thyroid & Endocrine Care
General surgeons treat conditions involving the pancreas, thyroid and parathyroid glands, combining endocrinology and surgery expertise. This care is coordinated with diabetes and endocrinology and may include thyroid surgery when needed.
