As part of the Department of Medicine, our intensivists work closely with other specialists to offer world-class patient care, research programs and education and training opportunities.
The Lahey Clinic Lung Health Program is a unique service focused on finding lung disease early, often before symptoms begin. Our team reviews unexpected findings from imaging tests, helps coordinate follow-up care, and works closely with primary care providers to make diagnosis and treatment faster and easier for patients.
Sometimes imaging tests performed for another reason reveal changes in the lungs that may be signs of an undiagnosed condition. These findings can include early lung disease that may worsen over time if left untreated.
The Lung Health Program identifies these findings, determines whether further evaluation is needed, and connects patients with the right specialists when necessary. Our goal is to reduce delays in care, simplify the referral process, and support better long-term lung health.
