For Healthcare Professionals & Staff
Resources for Lahey Staff
At Lahey Clinic, we provide a variety of support services and growth resources to our staff, helping them improve their practice, expand their skills and deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients.
Spiritual Care
We provide inclusive chaplaincy services to support your spiritual and emotional needs. Spiritual services available to staff include:
- Arrangements for memorial services for a deceased colleague
- Help with religious or ethical concerns about a patient, family or work
- Information on a patient’s religious tradition to provide culturally competent care
- Support for other personal or spiritual issues
Patients and loved ones can also use our spiritual services, including 24/7 access to our on-site chapel. The chapel is open to everyone, regardless of religious background or observance.
If you would like us to hold a loved one in prayer, please contact us.
If you would like to request a visit, please call 781-744-8800.
Patient & Family Advisory Council
Our staff support the work of the Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC), a consultative body consisting of former patients and families that plays a key role in recommending, designing and implementing quality and safety programs.
The PFAC is one of the many ways our staff contributes to the improvement of the patient experience at Lahey.
For Nurses
Our nurses are vital to the work we do at Lahey. Through the Jean Cunningham Department of Nursing, we provide ongoing education and professional development to each of our nurses, ensuring they have the information needed to stay ahead of the latest health trends and the tools to continue growing in their careers.
Continuing Education & Professional Development
Medicine is constantly evolving, and we believe the most effective health care providers are the ones who adapt. We offer numerous continuing education and professional development opportunities to staff interested in sharpening their current skills and learning new ones.
Staff can also take advantage of our comprehensive set of education and training opportunities, which are designed to help program participants excel in clinical practice and leadership. Our Simulation Center uses the latest simulation technology and training methods to provide trainees with a deep, immersive training experience.
Staff interested in careers in research can also find opportunities at Lahey to expand their understanding of the latest research techniques and methodologies, preparing them to contribute to our knowledge of medicine.
Visit our Departments & Divisions section to learn about specific, department-led research and education opportunities.
Mission-Driven Patient Care
As part of our mission, Lahey works hard to be a constructive member of our local communities. To that end, our staff participate in numerous community events and volunteer opportunities throughout the year, redirecting their time and energy to supporting a variety of local health initiatives.
Staff also play a key role in promoting our green initiatives, employing the latest sustainability practices to help us reduce the environmental impact of our care. We offer many opportunities for staff to deepen their involvement in our sustainability work.
