Division of Gynecology
Gynecology Care, Research and Education
The Division of Gynecology is part of the Department of Surgery at Lahey Clinic. Our division is home to world-class medical and surgical experts in many subspecialties. Our gynecology care team works with every woman on an individual basis to develop a personalized treatment plan.
In addition, we take pride in helping to train the next generation of physicians. Medical students for the UMass Chan Medical School come to learn from our team as well as OBGYN residents from multiple Boston area residency programs.
Lahey Clinic's Gynecology Division also is one of only 51 hospitals in the United States with an American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship program.

Care & Services
Our experts provide trusted gynecology care to women of all ages, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. Services range from routine yearly exams to complex surgical and robotic procedures from medical and surgical experts in many subspecialties.
We offer laparoscopy and hysteroscopy as safe and effective alternatives to more invasive surgery for conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and abnormal bleeding. Benefits of minimally invasive procedures typically include less pain, less blood loss, minimal scarring and faster recovery.

Education & Training
We offer numerous surgical education programs, including a Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Fellowship to train the next generation of gynecologists. We value mentorship and skills-training as we train fellows to help you gain knowledge as a surgeon in this field.

Minimally Invasive Gynecology Accreditation
The department is accredited as a Center of Excellence in Complex Endometriosis Care and in Minimally Invasive Gynecology by the Surgical Review Corporation, which is focused on improving the safety and quality of patient care.
