Internal Medicine Care, Research and Education
As part of the Lahey Clinic Department of Medicine, experts in the Division of Internal Medicine offer outstanding patient care. Working in the Nancy M. Cammarata Center for General Internal Medicine, our primary care clinicians train medical students from University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine at Lahey, internal medicine residents from Lahey's Internal Medicine Residency, and health professions students from many local schools in the science of primary care internal medicine.

Care & Services
At Lahey Clinic, our internal medicine providers are experts in adult medicine and whole-body primary care. Our team includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, clinical pharmacists and support professionals who work together to address more than just today’s symptoms. Using an integrated, multidisciplinary approach, we focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management and helping patients maximize their long-term health and wellness.
Education & Training
Many of our physicians serve as faculty to train the next generation of internists. Additionally, our physicians serve as faculty for University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine at Lahey, supporting students during preclinical training and clinical coursework.
Our division is the heart of the primary care training aspect of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Our residents quickly gain medical knowledge and diagnostic reasoning along with skills in physical exams and effective patient communication. We also have a Primary Care Fellowship for new graduate advanced care practitioners who are seeking additional training prior to pursuing a career in general internal medicine. Finally, our faculty train numerous advanced care practitioner students.
