At the Lahey Cancer Institute, cancer therapies are designed using the most advanced treatments, cancer research, clinical trials and support resources. To provide the best patient experience and most effective treatments, we approach care with a highly specialized focus on cancer type.
Lahey Clinic is a teaching hospital of UMass Chan Medical School. Lahey physicians also hold teaching assignments at Tufts Medical School. Through Lahey Cancer Institute, we maintain our oncology education and training. We offer residency and fellowship programs for well over a hundred new physicians in multiple subspecialties.
Patients, clinicians, researchers and students all benefit from Lahey Cancer Institute’s collaboration with care centers and affiliates throughout the region.
In addition to our New England programs, Lahey provides cancer support to residents of Bermuda. About 40% of all the cancer diagnoses in Bermuda are treated by Lahey.
We also offer cancer support programs in China and in St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
The Lahey Cancer Institute was formed to meet the varying needs of people with cancer by providing convenient, accessible care. We focus on clinical excellence, a personal touch and patient engagement in care planning, while also controlling costs.
