Routine and Urgent Care

In Sickness…

If you have an Emergency, dial 911

Guy T. Napolitana, MD, chair of the Department of General Internal Medicine collaborates with Jennifer A. Rehm, MD

If you need immediate care for an illness or injury, call 781-744-7000 and ask to speak to your primary care physician's office. The triage nurse who is part of your health care team may set up a same-day appointment with your doctor or, if he or she is not available, your team's nurse practitioner, physician assistant or resident physician. The nurse may also discuss your condition with a doctor and then call you with further instructions.

For medical advice or care after office hours, contact the GIM on-call physician at 781-744-7000. You may be referred to the Urgent Care Center (4 East), which sees patients on a first-come, first-served basis. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 5 pm to 7:45 pm, Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm, and Sunday from 8 am to 12 noon. For continuity of care, we request that you contact your physician's office before coming to the Urgent Care Center.

For a prescription renewal or a specialty care referral, also call 781-744-7000.
